Review: The First Years Infant-to-Toddler Reclining Feeding Seat

I got this portable high chair to take to restaurants for Alex to sit in. It fastens pretty securely to a kitchen or dining chair, has a nice reclining feature for younger babies, and a tray that’s not pictured. My biggest complaint is that the tray angle is dependent on the seat angle – if a baby can’t sit up unsupported, the seat has to be reclined, but that means the tray is also angled, rather than parallel to the floor. This makes the tray a lot less useful during feedings and even for play, since anything on it rolls toward baby. I love that the seat is really light, but it’s pretty bulky for carrying around to restaurants. Because of that, this chair has ended up as the highchair at my in-laws’ house, and it works well for that. In fact, if you don’t want to spend the money on a regular high-chair, this would be a very acceptable cost-efficient alternative.
